75 Bands in 75 Days – Day 37: Runaway Satellite

RunawayLadies and gentlemen, welcome, welcome, to 75 Bands in 75 Days, where we’re showcasing some of the best talent that the Pacific Northwest has to offer, at least one band per day, leading up to December 31st, to ring in a new year. This list is in no particular order and it is not a chart or a countdown. It’s merely a list of bands or musicians that we feel are worthy of checking out. Here on day 37 is  another band with a great sound, Runaway Satellite.

Looking for something beyond their normal orbit, Brian and Jesse decided to try performing and touring as a duet in 2013, when the Brian Marshall Band (BMB) was working on their EP. Finding that their voices blended well in an acoustic format, the idea stuck and Runaway Satellite was born. Incorporating songs from the BMB’s catalog along with new material, Brian’s solo and mayfly catalog, Runaway Satellite offers a look into the songs in a stripped down format, allowing the harmonies to really stand out. It worked out so well, that a full-blown Runaway Satellite album is now in the works for a 2015 release. We’re pretty familiar with the killer sounds from Brian Marshall Band so this should be a great project from some incredibly talented musicians.
