Seether, the rock band from South Africa took the stage at The Roseland Theater in Portland, OR Saturday September 13, to promote their new album “Isolate and Medicate”. Shaun Morgan’s new look with shorter locks did not change the powerhouse singer’s presence. His pained and soulful voice filled The Roseland Theater during his performance of “Broken”.
Seether is traveling with an extra guitar player Bryan Wickmann this year. Wickmann had great stage presence and seemed to fit in well with the rest of the band. Dale Stewart was his usual entertaining self with lots of energy, working the crowd into a frenzy during “Country Song”. John Humphrey performed a booming drum solo that left the crowd screaming for more. When the band played their new song “Words As Weapons” the crowd sang along loud enough to rival the band.
If you haven’t been to a Seether show yet; you need to place them high on your list of “need to see” bands. Seether is on the road with the Uproar Tour until September 21st, then on to Canada and a couple dates in the Northern United States before heading back overseas for their UK leg of their tour.
