Scott Weiland Found Dead on Tour Bus at 48

Breaking news has struck the Internet recently, with several publications and reliable sources confirming the death of former Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland, at the age of 48. California radio station KNAC broke the news via their website, claiming that Weiland was found dead in his tour bus just months after his 48th birthday in late October. Jane’s Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro tweeted the following devastated statement:

Weiland was also notable as a solo musician, and though he isn’t a northwest native, his presence has always been felt in the northwest, most notably as a member of hard rock supergroup Velvet Revolver, which featured Seattle legend Duff McKagan as well.
