50 Bands in 50 Days – Day 39: Devin Sinha

50-50-FEATURED

Welcome one and all back to 50 Bands in 50 Days, where we’re saying goodbye to 2015 with a countdown of 50 great Pacific Northwest bands. This daily showcase is presented by GigTown. Today, we’d like to turn you onto a great local indie folk act, one Devin Sinha.

devinsinha

A sadly unrecognized local great, Devin Sinha is a singer-songwriter with a sound that sits comfortably somewhere between indie rock, alt-country, and contemporary folk, all presented with a nice amount of accessibility and catchiness. Those who have been keeping up with alternative radio since about 2012 will feel right at home with a lot of when Sinha brings to the table in his music.

Devin Sinha’s debut studio album, The Seventh Season, received a warm reception among those who heard it, and its quality level earned it a spot on our 2014 Reader’s Poll list, voted by the readers of our site. To follow this record up, Sinha plans to release his sophomore LP, titled Our Past and Present Futures, on February 5th of 2016.

If you’re in the market for some nice, easy-going indie folk, check out Devin Sinha.
