Premiering today on Northwest Music Scene is the new video for “If I’m Alive” from Old Coast.

It’s been more than eight months since Old Coast has released any new music and that’s partly because they’ve spent the better half of this past winter cooped up in their rehearsal space, writing, rehearsing, and demoing songs for their debut, full-length record, Middle Man. In January, the members teamed up with Ed Brooks of Resonant Mastering Studio (Fleet Foxes, Death Cab for Cutie) and began a month of intense pre-production under the direction of Brooks and their own Luke Dumke, before heading into Studio Litho to cut the record with engineer Floyd Reitsma (Courtney Marie Andrews, Noah Gundersen). “If I’m Alive” marks the introduction of Old Coast’s new sound as the first single to be released off the upcoming record. The accompanying music video, directed by Luke Dumke, features a call and response between songwriter Asher Deaver, and band mate, Nik Singleton as they contemplate their unrealistic wants and desires over a closed bar top late into the early morning. Middle Man is set for an August 25, 2018 release date along with a record release show and celebration at Sunset Tavern with locals, Maltby and KT Neely.
