Adan Jodorowsky to Make Two Northwest Appearances on Upcoming Tour
Best known under the moniker Adanowsky, Adan Jodorowsky released records presenting a signature bilingual psych-folk charm that has kept the music world fixated for just shy of a decade. He released the lovely Amador in 2011, catching the ears of everyone from NPR to the New York Times and has since taken his infectious sound around the world. Along the way he’s collaborated with the likes of Devendra Banhart and Father John Misty, among others.
His dad also happens to be the venerated Chilean filmmaker (and mystic) Alejandro Jodorowsky- the man who’s orchestrated Avant Garde masterpieces since the 70’s, including Santa Sangre, El Topo and Holy Mountain (on top of officiating Marilyn Manson’s wedding). His latest, Endless Poetry, actually stars Adan playing none other than a younger version of his father. Adan also composed the film’s score.
Adan Jodorowsky is in the US NOW to showcase a new album- his first in nearly four years. Esencia Solar and features spellbinding collaborations with the likes of Natalia LaFourcade and Leon Larregui (Zoé). It’s out on February 2 in collaboration with Cosmica Records ( in the U.S.) and Casete.
