Update: Delay’s alleged accomplice, Marysa Comer, 20, was arrested by the FBI at a Chicago hotel Tuesday, Redmond police said, adding that investigators are working with the FBI to begin her extradition process.

Founder and owner of “Grandpa’s RV Productions,” David Delay, Sr., is accused of coaxing two teens into prostitution and then threatening to expose them on Facebook if they stopped working for him. If the name Grandpa’s RV Productions rings a bell it’s because the company has been somewhat involved in local music, or trying to be for the last several years. For a time he sold the dream of “Super-Stardom” to local bands Riot in Rhythm and Insuburban Avenue among others ,with promises of a huge reality  TV show The Making of Rockstars.  But not everyone believed it….read more HERE

That scam however, pales in comparison to what was apparently going on behind the scenes of Grandpa’s RV Productions. According to Redmond police, King County Superior Court has issued $250,000 felony arrest warrants for David DeLay, 48, for promoting prostitution and tampering with a witness and for Marysa Comer, 20, for promoting prostitution and extortion.

In early December Redmond police launched an investigation after an 18-year-old female and her  arrived at the police station with her mother.  A Redmond Police Department detective said the younger woman was pressured into prostitution after meeting Comer online. Speaking with police, the teen said she “fell in love” with Comer, who began picking her up at school with Delay. The teen began dating Comer and Delay, in an effort to make a life with Comer.

The teen moved into their apartment in June. Shortly thereafter Comer and Delay gave her a new cell phone and computer, which they monitored. According to charging papers, they told the teen they were making a documentary about human trafficking and prostitution. “They stated it was best for her to be involved in the documentary by escorting so that she can know what it is really all about,” the Redmond detective said in charging papers. In the days that followed, the young woman had sex with men at hotels in the Seattle area, as well as Bellingham, Portland, Oregon, Las Vegas, Houston, Chicago and Florida. She said she was to be flown to Germany for one “date,” but the plan fell through when she couldn’t find her passport.

The teen reportedly made a ton of money for Delay and Comer but she wasn’t the only one.  Detectives also identified another teen they believed had been pimped by Delay and Comer. King County sheriff’s deputies arrested the teen for prostitution in April 2014– just a week after she turned 18 during a vice investigation in SeaTac.

According to charging papers, the young woman told detectives she was part of a documentary. By the detective’s account, Comer claimed Grandpa’s RV Productions is a “legitimate company” producing a documentary advocating for legal prostitution. Yeah, totally believable.

The teen explained she met Delay online, where they discussed the documentary. She said he then flew her from Pennsylvania to Seattle, where she was made to sign a contract mandating that she would work as a prostitute for a year in exchange for $20 million.

Initially jailed on Dec. 29, Delay was released after posting bond on $40,000 bail. Comer has not been jailed.

Redmond police have asked that anyone with information about Delay or Comer contact investigators at 425-556-2581.
