Americana, bluegrass and indie folk lovers will feel right at home at Fremont’s Nectar Lounge on Saturday night, April 4, with Montana’s The Lil’ Smokies and Washington’s Polecat and The Warren G. Hardings holding court.The Lil’ Smokies have played a variety of festivals, including the Bozeman Bluegrass Fest, Wintergrass, Northwest Folklife Festival and Northwest String Summit. Last year, they were nominated for a “Momentum in Bluegrass Band” award by the International Bluegrass Music Awards.
Bellinghamsters Polecat bring their blend of “bluegrass, country, celtic, rock, reggae and world music” to the stage, embracing true roots music. They’ve previously shared the stage with groups such as Dead Winter Carpenters, Blackberry Bushes Stringband and Poor Man’s Whiskey, who have all previously graced the stage at Nectar Lounge. Like The Lil’ Smokies, they have performed at numerous festivals, including Bumbershoot, Wintergrass, Folklife and Rock ’n Roll Marathon.
Seattle’s The Warren G. Hardings are also a folky bluegrass band that looks up to greats like the mandolin master Bill Monroe. They, too, have shared the stage with many great acts.
All three groups promise high-energy, foot stomping performances.

Nectar Lounge is Seattle’s largest indoor/outdoor music venue. In addition to the main floor, Nectar houses a raised mezzanine section with seating, a covered outdoor patio and three full bars.
