The Brown Edition Nominated for two Independent Music Awards

Spectra Jazz Recording artists The Brown Edition sprint out of the gate with their debut release SOULPOCALYPSE(February 26, 2013), and nab two 12th annual Independent Music Awardnominations (IMA’s) in the Funk/Fusion/Jam category and music producer category (Thomas Pell & Justin Armstrong).

The Music Resource Group (MRG) announced nominees today from over 80 album, song, video and design categories based on submissions from all over the world.

Winners will be determined by a “Who’s Who” music industry judging panel including artists such as Tom Waits, Ziggy Marley, McCoy Tyner, Meshell Ndegeocello, Arturo Sandoval and many others, alongside voting from the general public.

Winners of the IMA’s receive promotions, distribution and performance opportunities that place them in front of over one billion music fans.

The general public is encouraged to listen and register to vote at the Vox Populi Jukebox from March 19 until July 19, 2013.  Winners will be announced shortly after the closing date.
