Canadian power-trio The Tea Party to play Seattle

the-tea-partyThe Tea Party is coming to Seattle, not that Tea Party, the other one, the one that makes killer sounds come out of their instruments and has been doing so for well over two decades. Not just another in a long line of fantastic Canadian power-trios, these guys never quite got the respect they deserved, although they are well known in the circles of intellectual hard rockers and have a pretty legit cult following.

This tour is in support of their new release ‘The Ocean At The End’, get your copy HERE

The Tea Party is a Canadian rock band with all sorts of influences from prog-rock , hard rock, a little bit blues and  Middle Eastern influences, sometimes called “Moroccan roll” by the media. The band was active throughout the 1990s and through 2005 when they broke up. Jeff Martin, the musical genius behind the band started out on a solo gig that still continues when he isn’t busy with The Tea Party, who much to the delight of their fans, got back together in 2011.

The band scored a number 1 hit in Canada in 1999 with the song “Heaven Coming Down” and they’ve sold well over a million records world wide over the years and entertained fans world wide.  After a tour of Canada the band will drop down below the border and bring their unmistakable sound to The Showbox in Seattle on December 12.
