Symbion Project, a finalist in our 2015 50 Bands in 50 Days countdown, is excited to co-headline an evening of eclectic electronic music with LA synth band Lucky+Love from LA on their first West Coast tour, at the L0-Fi Performance Gallery on Wednesday, April 13th. The two will be joined by Lilac, who is currently playing shows with electro-folk songstress Briana Marela. This show kicks off the Symbion Project cross-country tour, which has planned stops in Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Cleveland, and Boston, with more dates being added gradually.

Symbion Project is the electronic music endeavor of Kasson Crooker. Over the last 20 years and with numerous other bands, including Freezepop and the eccentric baroque-chiptune duo Rocococo (another 50 Bands in 50 Days featured artist), he has released 6 albums dabbling in the likes of downtempo, techno, ambient, synthpop, and video game music. SEMIOTIC is the project’s newest album – an audio-visual exploration featuring a seamless meld of dark, twisted beats and vintage analog synths with minimal, yet chaotic motion graphics and images. The result is a hypnotic discussion between visuals and instrumental music featured during live performances with sychronized visual projections. Symbion Project also has 2 songs in the recently released PS3/4 video game Amplitude.

The night promises to be an aurally and visually enthralling experience, and one definitely worth checking out if eclectic synth and electronic music is right up your alley.

(Tickets to the 21-and-over event will be only $7, and will be available at the door. For more details, consult the Facebook event page.)
