Okay we know you’re been waiting all week to find out what happens next on Game of Thrones, but don’t you think you could put your Sunday evening to a better use?

How about setting the DVR and getting out from in front of the box to check out one of the godfathers of indie-rock Guided By Voices, beginning at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 8 at the Showbox.

The band is primarily known for its prodigious output (they’ve released six albums since reforming in 2012) and lofi recording style. Live however, GBV transforms into high-energy rock gods. Don’t miss it, Jon Snow can wait.
