Rock & Rally For The Troops to Take Over Cheney Stadium August 1

RnR

PUBLIC INVITED TO MOTORCYCLE RUN AND OUTDOOR MUSIC FESTIVAL IN TACOMA TO RAISE FUNDS FOR WOUNDED SERVICE MEMBERS AND SHOW THEIR SUPPORT FOR ACTIVE MILITARY.

Now in its fifth year, Rock & Rally For The Troops will take place at Cheney Stadium in  Tacoma on Saturday, August 1 and featured some great local bands as well as national touring act Eve To Adam. The general public, veterans and local military are invited to  participate in Rock & Rally For The Troops,  to support the programs of Operation Ward 57.

As America enters its 14th year of conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, showing support for our wounded, ill and injured service members is more important than ever. Attendees of the event can show their support by participating in the motorcycle run sponsored by BROTHERS IN ARMS MOTORCYCLE CLUB or attend the Outdoor Music Festival featuring 4 local and national bands. The music lineup includes Eve to Adam, Klover Jane, Van Eps and JP Hennessy.

Last year’s Rock & Rally concert featured the likes of The AdarnaTen Miles Wide (formerly known as The Mothership), Mom’s RocketAntihero, and several other local favourites, who assembled at Louie G’s Pizzeria in Fife for the event.

There will also be a silent auction at the event from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. and this is an all ages event. See the Facebook event page

Also, U.S. Army Veteran Mary Dague, and former member of the Army’s Explosive Ordinance Disposal Team, will be speaking to share her experiences of being a double arm amputee and raise awareness for veteran related issues.
All funds raised from the motorcycle run, silent auctions and individual donations will go directly to Operation Ward 57 to support the wounded, ill and injured service members & Veterans recovering around the country. Operation Ward 57 T-shirts that are given to patients and families will also be available for sale at the Rock & Rally event.

The event sponsors Brothers In Arms MC and Lyon Pride Music Founder Levi Lyon were inspired by Operation Ward 57, and were motivated to find a way to make an impact on and improve the overall quality of life of the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines that have sacrificed so much in support of OIF/OEF/OND.
