PREMIERE: Watch Hello, I’m Sorry’s Music Video for Hypnotic Single “Used to Be”

Today we’re excited to get to share with you, hot off the presses, a sedate, but stylish music video from the breezy and lightly emotional pop and rock outfit Hello, I’m Sorry. Landing on the gentler, more palatable side of the Seattle rock coin, Hello, I’m Sorry’s songs feature solemn guitars as prominently as vintage lo-fi synthesizers to add color to the mix. Though there’s a certain rock and roll edge at the core of the band’s music, their songs are primarily driven by plushy psychedelia and fittingly sullen emotional delivery.

The gauzy, intoxicating flair of “Used to Be,” a previous track from Hello, I’m Sorry’s June 2017 Sugar Pit EP, is elevated and expanded on by its somewhat simple, but complimentary music video, which uses extended, soft-focus shots of the band jamming out the song in an effectively dull setting, accompanied by little more than their amps and respective instruments. The close-up shots of each member’s happy, eager face lends character to the music video and helps warm the audience up to not just the almost unhelpably catchy music, but the band themselves.
