PREMIERE: Listen to “Out of Sight, Out of Mind” by The Purrs

Premiering today on Northwest Music Scene is a new song called “Out of Sight, Out of Mind” from The Purrs.

“Out of Sight, Out of Mind” is a psychedelic romp full of fuzzed out, shimmery guitars, pointed lyrics and a hook that’ll be stuck in your ears for days. The new single is from the forthcoming album, Destroy the Sun, that will be released on Swoon Records on August 3rd.

From Jima (Vocals, Bass): “This song was the result of a fun pile of word salad I had lying around combined with unhealthy, simultaneous Spiritualized and Beck obsessions. It bounced in and out of our live set for quite a while, but never made it to the studio until this new album. We added some horny 5:15 style keys and badaboom! I’m pretty happy with the way it came out.”

You can pre-order the album HERE and you can check out The Purrs live at their album release show on Fri, Aug. 3rd at The Sunset Tavern with Diminished Men and Vibragun.
