Out Like Pluto Video, Bridge, Take Cover
I quite like Out Like Pluto. They’re fun. They err on the side of pop but not in a soft, fluffy way. It’s a catchy heaviness, a kind of happy, seductive, groove, sparse at times, beefy at others, especially since earlier this year, they took to heart my suggestion for a second guitar player. They spent the later half of 2011 recording, mixing, and mastering for a new record entitled Take Cover that will drop Tuesday, January 10, 2012 (today) with a CD release show/party at the Kingcat Theater three days later on the 13th.
What they’ve also been doing these past few months is video editing. I wrote briefly about their video shoot and the Men’s Room Original Red back in July, and last month they finally released the video for their first single from Take Cover. The song is called “Bridge”. Check it out.

Good stuff. And a good party. Yours truly can be spotted early on eating a potato chip in the background before all that “research” into the Men’s Room Original Red kicked in and cast a haze over things.
