Northern Shakedown is a 4-piece alternative Alternative R&B, Rock/Hip-Hop from Seattle whose influences range from Arctic Monkeys to J. Cole and Outkast to Kings of Leon. The group is literally a “Band of Brothers” comprised of two pairs of brothers that met through the church and formed in 2011.

Heavily influenced by gospel, soul, and syncopated rhythms, the four expanded their style and in 2012 released a single, “Through the Night”, recorded/engineered by Dylan Fant at 1 Shot Studio in Woodinville WA. Their debut CD, “Rural Nyce EP”, recorded/engineered by Justin Davis at London Bridge Studios in Shoreline WA, was released later that year.

In 2013 new member Jabreel joined, introducing a fresh Hip Hop element into the mix.  The rest of the year was spent writing new music and refining the band’s sound. In the Spring of 2014 Northern Shakedown released a new track “Soda” that was the first glimpse into their new wave of tunes.  “Supertramp” was released in July and hearkened back to some of the blues-rock that was evident in their earlier Rural Nyce recordings.

Now is the time to meet Northern Shakedown in Seattle before they release their full-length EP by the end of 2015.
