The two-day, all ages and free community celebration Ballard SeafoodFest recently announced an all-new lineup for the 2016 event. Featured are local legends and up-and-coming favorites of all shapes and sizes. Ballard comes alive from July 9th and 10th to serve the best community event of the year. Enjoy live music and all the seafood you can eat. Headlining the 2016 Ballard SeafoodFest are local grunge legends Mudhoney, as well as notable Sub Pop-signed Oregon alt-pop duo The Helio Sequence and lauded live funk act Eldridge Gravy & the Court Supreme.

SeafoodFest began in 1974 as a community celebration of Ballard’s historic connection to the fishing industry and the neighborhood’s Nordic roots. Today, this free two-day festival attracts over 65,000 people who come to enjoy the traditional salmon barbecue and much more: local music, arts and crafts, family entertainment, a beer garden, a skate event, and yes – more seafood!

Other acts on this star-studded local lineup include Seattle pleasant-rockers The Smokey Brights, modern R&B heavyweight Fly Moon Royalty, funk outfit Polyrhythmics, and the Seattle School of Rock. If you’re a fan of local music and want to enjoy a wide array of it for two days for free, definitely look into this festival.
