Modest Mouse Confirms New Album On The Way

Seattle’s, okay fine, Issaquah’s Modest Mouse teased the music world  in a cryptic Instagram photo Monday and now it’s was confirmed to come from their previously rumored upcoming album — MM’s first full LP since We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank in 2007.

According to Revolt Magazine – “a rep from the band’s label, Epic Records, has confirmed a new album from the group is due out Q1 of next year”.

Even though they haven’t released a new album for ions, they still have stayed out in the public eye somewhat through heavy touring, including headlining spots at nearly every major U.S. festival over the last several years.

Lampshades on Fire, originally premiered back in 2011 at Sasquatch and was recorded at the soundboard.See video below.  The speculation is that this will be the first single from the new album. Just type in #Lampshadesonfire on Twitter and let the games begin!
