About Mathias Rock:
Formed in 2001 by multi-instrumentalist Mathias Rock and bassist Saša Šešlija, Ceremöny performed live with many different lineups adding Shawn Cannon on keyboards in 2004. They released an 8 song album called Our First Mistake in 2007.
Ceremöny went on hiatus from October of that year until putting together a new lineup and becoming Mathias Rock in 2011.
On July 2nd 2011, current drummer Chester Hewkin joined the band on stage to play Mathias Rock’s first concert in support of their 2011 album. The new self-titled album produced by Mathias Rock was released June 21st, 2011 on Sex Rock Records. The band has opened for well known bands including:Â Mariana’s Trench, Daniel Wesley, Krome, Jimmy Bowskill, The Black Halos, Alley Dukes, and Widowmaker.
Radio charts:
Our First Mistake charted for 9 weeks in 2007 on Canadian campus radio stations.
Our First Mistake charted at #188 on Earshot top 200 September 2007.
