Mac DeMarco, one of the contemporary indie scene’s most prolific and adored musicians and personalities, will be once again bringing his unforgettable live energy to Seattle at the start of Q4 2017, when he will be playing the Moore Theatre. Mac and his band made their plans to strike while the iron’s hot apparent earlier this week, when he dropped two new singles to tease towards the release of a brand new full-length LP, titled This Old DogThis Old Dog will be the full-length studio album follow-up to what many consider to be Mac’s signature record, Salad Days, dropped via Captured Tracks in 2014, but while it can be hard to follow up such a fawned-over album, the stunning quality of these two new tracks forecasts an album that’s sure to go toe-to-toe with Salad Days and his equally solid mini-LP he dropped in 2015, Another One.

While albums like 2 and Salad Days, as well as great viral tracks like “Passing Out Pieces” and “Chamber of Reflection” alone have made Mac and his band an underground sensation, anyone who’s attended one of his live performances can attest to how excellent they can be. Writing in review of his sold-out Chop Suey performance in late November 2014, we noted how the show was, “a perfect affirmation of just why he and his band are so huge and adored within their scene.” Since then, Mac has gone on to perform at various other locations throughout the Northwest, including Pickathon, Sasquatch!, as well as an upcoming headlining performance at this year’s Treefort Music Festival.

The Moore Theatre show will be taking place on September 10th. Advanced tickets are priced at $27.50, and can be purchased via Ticketmaster here. Consult the STG Presents event page for more information about the show.
