Live & Die In Afrika Tour Benefit for One Vibe Africa With Sauti Sol

STG and One Vibe Africa present Sauti Sol Live and Die in Afrika Tour & Benefit Concert for One Vibe Africa in support of One Vibe Africa’s Education Music & Art Program (EMAP) in Kisumu, Kenya. On Thursday November 3rd all roads lead to The Neptune Theatre where the night will feature spectacular musical performances by Sauti Sol, Caleb Cunningham & PLH with Yirim Seck, Kama – Kalamashaka, and surprise guests. All proceeds go directly to One Vibe Africa and benefit the youth it serves.

SAUTI SOL is an award-winning band from Kenya that won an MTV EMA Award as Best African Band in 2014. Compromising Bien-Aime Baraza, Willis Austin Chimano, Polycarp Otieno and Savara Mudigi, this foursome mixes their soulful voices with vocal harmonies, guitar riffs, and drum rhythm while blending warm resonant pop with traditional Kenyan influences.

Caleb Cunningham & PLH is a live hip-hop band based out of Seattle. Frontman/MC Caleb Cunningham, who is grounded in hip-hop music, has recruited a small group of players with backgrounds varying from Gospel and Reggae to West African percussion, in order to create a truly unique form of Hip-Hop music. Their albums The Art of Resistance, Shoebox Radio, The Urban Circus EP, and Civilian, reveal a sound that blends live instrumentation and electronic sampling with conscious and passionate lyrics.

Yirim Seck (Senegal/Seattle) – Known for his searing lyricism, impassioned performance, and for forging hip-hop with traditional Senegalese dance music. Yirim Seck bridges the illustrious musical legacy of Seattle’s CentraSAUTI SOL is an award-winning band from Kenya that won an MTV EMA Award as Best African Band in 2014. Kamau Ngigi – His music is complete with philosophical lyrics on sociopolitical messages that address the struggles of youth in Africa. Kamau is a renowned hip-hop artist in East-Africa, and part of Kalamashaka, which paved the way for Swahili hip hop to become mainstream in Kenya.
