KT Tunstall to Play The Crocodile on September 27th

KT Tunstall is returning with her new record KIN, due out September 9th on Caroline Records, and to support her first new full-length album in three years, she’ll be embarking on a worldwide tour this fall. During her extensive tour, she’ll be making an anticipated stop at The Crocodile in late September. Though the singer-songwriter’s time in the limelight in the United States has faded since singles like “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree” and “Suddenly I See” dominated the airwaves a decade or so ago (though they still persist on Adult Contemporary radio stations), she’s continued to be a prolific figure in music, contributing to several soundtracks, as well as releasing several albums and earning praise for each release, most notably Invisible Empire // Crescent Moon, her last record, and arguably her most acclaimed LP to date.

The new album promises to be an explosive 11-track collection of pop tunes, which Tunstall herself views as a full-bodied follow up to her multi-platinum debut album, 2005’s Eye to the Telescope, somewhat of a hit machine for KT. “Maybe It’s a Good Thing” is the lead single off KIN, which also has a promotional track, titled “Evil Eye.” Among the 11 tracks presented on KIN is a duet with acclaimed contemporary indie folk singer-songwriter James Bay. “Maybe It’s a Good Thing” was paired with a colorful and straightforward music video towards the beginning of August, which you can watch below.

Advanced tickets to the September 27 event are priced at $28. Support will come from LA indie rockers Wildling. You can purchase tickets via Ticketfly. For more details about the event itself, consult thecrocodile.com.
