Kick Up Your Heels at Museum of Glass with Liam Ó Maonlaí

PianoIn conjunction with the exhibition CAUTION! Fragile. Irish Glass: Tradition in Transition, Museum of Glass is hosting a traditional Céilí Mór on Saturday, March 22 from 7 – 10 pm. Guests will enjoy an evening of Irish dance, music and merriment.

“Since no previous experience is necessary, we invite one and all to join us in this lively celebration. We are delighted to welcome back our guest curator Róisín de Buitléar, who will also be the grand marshal at the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Seattle. In addition, we are thrilled to have Liam Ó Maonlaí headlining this spectacular evening,” notes Susan Warner, executive director of Museum of Glass.

The night will feature entertainment from renowned Irish vocalist and musician Liam Ó Maonlaí performing with Carrigaline Celtic Band. In addition, guest dancers from the Tony Comerford School of Dance will perform. Everyone will be welcome to join in for the set dancing led through the moves by caller Kieran O’Mahony. While not on the dance floor, guests can savor Irish drinks and bites.

Tickets for the Céilí Mór can be purchased at the Admissions Desk or on the Museum of Glass website at www.museumofglass.org/special-events. Prices are: $15 general admission, $12 MOG members, $10 students, and $40 VIP. Food and two drinks are included with the general admission ticket. All ages welcome. Guests can shop at the MOG Store open until 9 p.m.
