Hey Musicians, Someone is Stealing your Music and Giving it Away for Free

SupportArtistsReportPiracyWe just stumbled across a disgusting website that is set up to steal  music from our hard working musician friends and then they put it up on their own website and give it away for free.  This appears to be a blatant case of music piracy, as we doubt they have permission to do this.  Better check the site for your music. They have music from bands big and small, crossing most genres. Are you as pissed off that someone is doing this as we are? Let’s do something about it. We can’t stop them all but we can work together to stop the leeches like this that we find. And to add to it the site is registered to a Portland address.

Here’s the website in question:  http://www.freemp3go.org/

They have amassed 107,000 fans on Facebook much to the disgust of most of the posters there.

We encourage you to go to the Facebook page and report the page.  Facebook Page.

We also encourage you to file a complaint with the FTC.  Click here:

According to Alexa this site is the 16, 654th ranked website in the world.  Even more alarming is the fact that they have recently shot past 47,075 other websites to get where they are.

Check their website ranking here:

Alexa is perhaps best known for the Alexa Rank – our website ranking system which tracks over 30 million websites worldwide. The Alexa Rank and other metrics allow site owners to benchmark their sites and give consumers, marketers and advertisers metrics to evaluate websites for media buying, partnerships, and other business opportunities.

Alexa’s traffic estimates are based on a diverse sample of millions of worldwide internet users using thousands of different types of toolbars and add-ons for Google Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer.

Here’s some more info about the site and the owner.
