Hard Rock Rising Battle March 7th

Come watch the top local bands to perform at live battle events. During the live battle, bands will perform for fans and judges, who will choose a winner to move on to the global competition and represent their city as the Local Finalist, competing for the Global Prize.
The Local Finalist in each market will win $250 (equivalent in local currency), a $250 Hard Rock Cafe Gift Certificate, and move on to the global voting round; one step closer to winning the Global Prize.

SOVA When a Seattle social worker seeking catharsis answered an ad from a club-tempered rock band seeking a front man, Sova was born. Sean Hurley’s impassioned vocals and literate lyrics found an immediate snug fit with guitarist Michael Palais’ panasonic riffs and the wire-tight rhythms of bassist James Mehl and drummer Chad Norley; after meeting in late October of 2012, they quickly set about fitting together their respective contributions, writing and recording in Mehl’s basement studio while preparing a live show that is by turns — often simultaneously — thunderous, sizzling, and soulful.
In The Between Formed in 2012, In The Between brings a dynamic flow to the stage. With the melodic grooves and moving vocals In The Between has taken the North West by storm and has no plans on stopping. Fueled by a strong desire to bring entertainment and put on an amazing show, In The Between brings a performance that is un-equaled in the northwest.
Bodybox A three piece band that started in September of 2009. Since then they have played predominately in the Tacoma/Olympia/Seattle area. With a wide range of influences, it is difficult to categorize their sound. The best way to find out is to hear them live, so come check out the show.
Far From The Genuine of Law Dogg Music Far From the Genuine is a hard working, DIY, driven, ratty tatty trio out of Tacoma WA. With a rotating cast of drummers in the last two years and a sound that has grown up vastly in the last year this band finally has found its perfect chemistry and is ready to melt faces and take the world by storm. With influencs from Blink 182 to Nirvana to old school jazz it is hard to put a category on this group. Take them as they are this group appeals to a wide mass of tastes and pleases the ear. Brian “Buck” Ellard Brian ‘Buck’ Ellard is a singer/songwriter, musician. He has been playing since he was in grade school and playing professionally since he was 15. He started out on fiddle and included guitar in his teens. His song writing reflects life and what it has to offer. Just writes what he feels keeping it real.
