Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen Play at The Tractor Tavern Sept. 4

TractorFrank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen stir up a tasty bluegrass/newgrass stew simmered from a blend of instrumental, vocal and songwriting skills so hot, it earned them five 2013 International Bluegrass Music Association Award nominations, and wins for members Mike Munford (Banjo Player of the Year) and guitarist Chris Luquette (Momentum Award – Instrumentalist of the Year).

The band’s new album, Cold Spell came out August 12, 2014 on Compass Records and delivers another sizzling collection of traditional and progressive sounds, including jazz, country and blues, in tautly arranged tunes featuring soulful harmonies and fiery chops — with special guests Leon Alexander, Sam Bush, John Cowan, Rob Ickes and Megan McCormick. Standout tracks include the title song, the instrumental “Yeah Man” and “Days Go By.”

They’ll be bringing that blend to the Tractor Tavern on September 4
