Ex-Members of Scorpions, UFO & Rainbow Play Seattle May 5

SchenkerFew rock guitarists have as impressive a resume as Michael Schenker does – as he has supplied his six-string talents to such world-renowned acts as the Scorpions, UFO and the Michael Schenker Group over the years.  After burning the stage up in California Sunday night, which featured a guest appearance by Metallica‘s  Kirk Hammett , this guitar god brings an incredible lineup to Studio Seven on Tuesday, May 5. This show is the makeup date for the March 28 date that was postponed.

Michael Schenker’s Temple of Rock line-up proves to be one of the strongest that the German guitarist has ever played with, as it features the former Scorpions  ‘Rock You Like A Hurricane’ rhythm section of Francis Buchholz (bass) and Herman Rarebell (drums), as well as Doogie White (vocals, formerly of Rainbow), and Wayne Findlay (guitar/keyboards, and longtime Michael Schenker Group member).

Schenker said this back in March about touring to support the new album:

A spokesman for the band said “Everyone is gutted that we are missing out on playing these first few shows particularly as this will be the first time Herman and Francis have played together on American soil in many years. Everyone is so fired up to deliver killer performances of the new TEMPLE OF ROCK songs from ‘Spirit on a Mission’ as well as classics for The Scorpions, UFO and MSG”. – See more at: http://www.studioseven.us/2014/12/michael-schenker-group-featuring-members-of-the-scorpions-gundriver-plus-guests-sat-march-28th/#sthash.DbqfOti0.dpuf

“Promotion is definitely the next step,” says Schenker of hitting the road in support of ‘Spirit on a Mission.’ “Wherever we are needed around the world, we will be there to promote ‘Spirit On A Mission.’ I want to make Temple of Rock its own entity. Right now it is still using the Michael Schenker platform but eventually I want it to stand on its own feet as Temple of Rock.”

Undoubtedly, this set of North American dates are the first step towards establishing Michael Schenker’s Temple of Rock as a global force.
