Bumbershoot Lives!!!! One Reel Partners up with Showbox/AEG

Horns9551-609Outstanding news out of the Bumbershoot camp was announced this morning. One Reel and the international music and sporting event promoters AEG signed a deal to keep the Bumbershoot festival going.

The partnership with Showbox Presents/ AEG Live, ensures that Bumbershoot will continue to thrive in 2015 and beyond. Through an agreement with the City of Seattle, this collaboration begins immediately, building a stable and sustainable model for the iconic arts festival’s future.

One Reel also announced the return of  Heather Smith as interim Executive Director of Bumbershoot.

Smith rejoins One Reel’s staff to oversee the transition, having previously served as director of the non-profit’s Festival Division. One Reel will remain a non-profit entity working side by side with Showbox Presents/ AEG Live to bring Bumbershoot to the Seattle Center for the 45th year. Showbox Presents/ AEG Live has a wide global reach that will bring exciting new acts and artists to the Northwest, while working closely with One Reel to maintain the character that Bumbershoot is known for.
