Tobias the Owl is a collaborative project between 11 different members, all of whom contribute to the band’s music, in a similar vein to Broken Social Scene. A band whose music covers the likes of folk music, indie rock, and electronic music, Tobias the Owl has garnered critical acclaim, international prominence, and numerous accolades as a songwriting project, including “Best Singer-Songwriter” in the Toronto Independent Music Awards and praise from members of Deer Tick, and many more.

Tobias the Owl will be a headliner at the 2016 Olympia Acoustic Festival. Their slot is immediately prior to the main headliner, David Bazan.

They will be touring the region with noted, critically acclaimed songwriter, Matt Costa, who has previously toured with Jack Johnson and Ryan Adams, to name a few.

The band’s new full length album is being produced by Geoff Ott at London Bridge Studio and will be released on the local label, London Tone Music. They’re set for an April 2016 release. Andrew D. B. Joslyn (Damien Jurado, Macklemore, David Bazan) and Scott Seiver (Aimee Mann, Jason Mraz, Tenacious D) are featured prominently for their contributions to the upcoming album.
