50 Bands in 50 Days – Day 29: No Avail

50-50 FEATURED

Welcome back to our daily showcase of amazing local talent to send off 2015, 50 Bands in 50 Days. This year’s edition of the year-end countdown is brought to you by GigTown. Today we’re going to turn you onto a band that’ll pummel your face in with metal, No Avail.

If you’ve been heavily versed in the Washington rock and metal scene for, oh, the past 30 years or so, then you may have heard of local heavy metal veterans No Avail, who have been setting Washington State on fire with their music since 1986. Despite being at the point in their careers that they are, the band is showing no signs of stopping anytime soon, playing shows as recently as Halloween of this year.

The band played their “Return of the Metal Titans” show at Louie G’s earlier this year, and with it, they premiered a new song titled “Fall of Man”, which you can hear performed live below. Amazingly, despite being a band that’s now almost three decades old, the band doesn’t feel past their prime. The band sounds good as ever, and they don’t even sound particularly dated; No Avail has an authentically classic heavy metal sound that plenty of third-rate radio metal runoffs would kill for.

Heavy metal fans of all shapes and sizes will find something to love about No Avail.

For Fans of: Judas Priest, Metal Church, Accept

You can follow the band on Facebook, Twitter, and Reverbnation, and watch a live video of the band below.
