Music fans of the Pacific Northwest, get ready for our fifth annual year-end daily local music showcase, 100 Bands in 100 Days, where every day until December 31st, we’re showcasing a new band or artist you have to know about, once again presented by Verity Credit Union.

Make sure you are checking the #100Bands100Days hashtag on Twitter on a daily basis to stay on top of all the bands featured and be sure to follow Verity and NW_Music_Scene there. Some days the featured act could be an established and locally-adored northwest-based musician and other times they could be a band with a small following that just hasn’t had their deserved time in the spotlight yet. Either way, we’re fairly confident you can come away from this daily segment with plenty of new favorites. Today’s featured artist is Black Nite Crash.

About the band:

Stalwarts of the Seattle Indie scene since first appearing back in December 2002, Black Nite Crash has evolved over the years shifting line-ups, changing stripes and shedding many skins, but maintaining largely the same reverb-drenched, fuzz-coated noise pop sound, a mix of atmosphere and energy, focusing on themes that haunt dreams… girls, gods, and altered states. Strong songcraft and dark moods meet, with nods to Sixties Psych, Post-Punk, Shoegaze, and Brit Pop. With a new album and a new EP coming this winter, BNC have some fresh sounds on the way.

Even though Seattle and the greater northwest has no shortage of indie rockers, Black Nite Crash’s longevity and ability to evolve has placed them near the top of the list of bands you haven’t heard enough of yet. Brilliant songwriting, coupled with friendly sounding, fuzzy guitars is their trademark and if you aren’t aware of this band check them out today. Listen to their 2017 release, Nevergreen HERE.
