Singer-songwriter Trevor Hall to play in Portland & Eugene in September

Soul’d Out Productions presents two nights with singer-songwriter Trevor Hall on September 15th at The Roseland Theater, and September 16th at The WOW Hall in Eugene.

The South Carolina native is currently on his Fruitful Darkness Tour and recently wrapped a short tour in Europe with friend and collaborator Nahko.

A student of classical guitar, Hall had a stint in Southern California studying music, where he was also introduced to yoga and spiritual practices originating in India. These elements all found relation with one another in his life and would influence both his music and life journey. After signing with Geffen records, Hall went on to be featured on the Shrek The Third soundtrack and toured with music greats including Steel Pulse, The Wailers, Jimmy Cliff, Matisyahu, Michael Franti and Colbie Caillat.

Halls’ music — an eclectic mix of Acoustic Rock, Reggae and Sanskrit chanting — fuse his influences both musically and spiritually while maintaining a universal message.

His latest album, KALA, written in Hawaii and recorded in Los Angeles, was released August 21, 2015. It debuted at #2 on the iTunes singer/songwriter chart. After years of splitting time as an musician on tour, traveller and spiritual student, KALA marks the final chapter in a trilogy that chronicles Halls’ spiritual and musical journey over the past few years.

“It’s a graceful amalgam of styles by a musician who loves to embrace the music of the world.”
