Yacht, CocoRosie, Chairlift, More Join Treefort with Final Lineup Announcement
With each gradual reveal of the lineup for the 2016 Treefort Music Festival in Boise, the Idaho festival sounds more and more enticing to music fans, both national and local to the Pacific Northwest region. Between Charles Bradley, Thee Oh Sees, Chelsea Wolfe, and more in the first wave, as well as Built to Spill, Thundercat, Nosaj Thing, and more in the second wave, you’d think the festival would’ve blown their load on their first couple gradual reveals, but today they’ve revealed their final wave of announcements, and it’s fair to say they didn’t hold back any.
Why, you may ask? Well, among the bigger acts revealed are DFA Records’ Portland-via-LA electro-rock outfit Yacht, renowned New Weird America forerunners CocoRosie, indie pop darling Chairlift, Topshelf Records representation via two of its biggest figures, Into It. Over It. and The World Is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die, Boise futurist electronic outfit and Hotline Miami 2 co-soundtrackers Magic Sword, among many, many others. The local scene shows up in waves as well, with such acts as Mommy Long Legs, Marshall Poole, Planes on Paper, Dallas Cotton (fka YUNG BAE), Summer Cannibals, Grindline The Band, and countless more.
