The Royal Room Collective Music Ensemble 7:30pm | Doors at 6:30pm
Feb 6 & 20, Mar 6 & 20, April 3 & 17
It’s been half a year since the Royal Room has been graced by this big-band style improvisation orchestra and we are thrilled to have them back for a residency every 1st & Third Monday through April.
The Royal Room Collective Music Ensemble is a 15 piece conduction orchestra featuring Seattle’s finest and most innovative improvisers under the direction of composer Wayne Horvitz.
The RRCME performs Mr. Horvitz’s compositions in a loosely constructed format which uses a combination of on-the-spot (re)arranging and various other techniques, some of which have come to be known as “conduction”.
Featuring: Beth Fleenor, Kate Olson, Ivan Arteaga, Levi Gillis, Greg Sinibaldi, Al Keith, Sam Boshnack, Steve O’Brian, Amelia Coulter, Ryan Burns, Geoff Harper, Eric Eagle, Christian Pincock, Wayne Horvitz and more.
No cover. The musicians are compensated by your donations.
