Sea of Bees to Embark on Multiple-Date West Coast Tour

Sea of Bees‘ new album, Build a Boat to the Sun, is out now on 3 Loop Music, and fans in Tacoma can catch a live set on January 23rd at the Half Pint Pizza Pub, among a multitude of other dates in Washington State, and one in Portland. Sea of Bees is the musical project of singer-songwriter Julie Baenziger. The strength of the rising musical project’s songs has earned the project opening spots for the likes of Gotye, Stornoway, Smoke Fairies, and more, and has played sets at SXSW, Glastonbury and CMJ.

After a brief hiatus, Jules wrote a new record, and Build a Boat to the Sun, released on June 30th of 2015. It sees Jules leaving the darkness for brighter horizons, gathering the good things up, leaving the bad behind and moving forward. The music has also moved forward sonically from the previous releases with more tracks having a full band sound after Jules bought a drum set and spent as much time playing drums as guitar much to her neighbor’s dismay.

Fans all over Washington State will have the opportunity to see Baenzinger and co. on their West Coast tour, as it’s set to hit up everywhere from Tacoma to Seattle to Long Beach. You can find a full list of tour dates below.
