Rule of Threes Post-AWP Party Sponsored by Dark Coast Press, Emergency Press, Jaded Ibis Press

AWP Rule of Threes
For the literary minded, three Seattle-based publishers are throwing a post-AWP Conference (Association of Writers and Writing Programs) party Thursday in the Musicquarium at the Triple Door. There will be book and merch giveaways, drink specials and drinking games. There will also be three local bands, one brought in by each of the publishers.

Judging from the video below, Vaudeville Etiquette seems like they might be a fun live act.

And if you’re looking to read something about how addiction can go horribly wrong, check out Tom Hansen’s memoir, American Junkie (Emergency Press). It’s darkly good, and it also has a couple interesting anecdotes about Layne Staley and Kurt Cobain. I believe Mr. Hansen might just be attending the show tomorrow night.

Doors open at 7:00. 21+. No cover.

Correction: Emergency Press is based in New York.
