If you’ve spent any time on this website at all you likely know we love all the hard-rocking legacy acts from the northwest but at the same time have a lot of love for the dreamier side of northwest music and that’s just what Eastern Souvenirs brings to the table. Today we are bringing you a premier of a new song called “Hold On” by this fantastic musical act.

Building on loops of rattling, world percussion instruments, minimalist electronic beats and lush layers of guitar and synth, Seattle-based Eastern Souvenirs creates sonically immersive songs that thrive on the push and pull of foreign and familiar.

Eastern Souvenirs brings lush electronic production and folk-inspired guitars and world percussion instruments into unity on the debut full length album titled Green Valleys. Not to get lost in the myriad effects and trappings of modern electronic music, the shimmering layers of instrumentation on “Hold On” are equally matched with simple and engaging melodies and poignant yet hopeful lyrics.
