Nirvana’s “Unplugged” turns 20

20 years ago today, Nirvana’s acoustical opus, MTV Unplugged was released. Of course that year was a difficult year for Nirvana fans world wide, as the troubled frontman Kurt Cobain passed away from an alleged suicide just six months earlier. The Unplugged album became a huge hit all over the world, rising to number 1 on the Billboard album charts. The album was recorded on November 18, 1993 at Sony Music Studios in New York City.
