The Music Book Interviews – The Jesus Rehab

The Music BookEvery time I hear a countdown now, I’ll think of the Jesus Rehab. I’ll think specifically of “Spaceships,” a song that rightfully begins with a countdown and then some cheering. And then it blasts off, blasts out of the stratosphere and carries the listener along on its elliptical journey around the sun and through the universe.

The Jesus Rehab is by far my favorite guitar-drum duo in Seattle. There are others that are good, but they all fall short in one way or another. The Jesus Rehab does not. There is no bass-shaped hole in the sound, no loss of tone for the guitar, no gaps in the rhythms.

And they were kind enough to come join me in the studio to talk about music and what all. And of course, they came to play music. Have a listen.
