Make Music Day to Take Over Seattle on June 21st for a Day of Artful Festivities

Fans of the artsier, more creator-centric side of Seattle’s free events will no doubt want to head out to a number of Seattle’s iconic spots on Thursday, June 21st, when the city will be overtaken by Make Music Day. With flash mobs, on-site music lessons, hands-on discovery of various instruments, group sing-a-longs, and even an attempt to shatter a world record (for most instruments ever played in a parking lot at a single time), the day promises a lot of festivities and excitement for musical aficionados of all ages.

Emceeing the “Pike Place to Hard Rock Flash Mob” will be renowned performer Wanz, with special musical appearances from Girls Love RocketsTobias the Owl, the School of Rock SeattleCarina Nebula, and Devil’s Banquet. For the piano lovers out there, Northwest Pianos in Bellevue will be offering a chance to play one of their many pianos in a scenic recital hall. At the Seattle waterfront, MC Chriss Glenn and DJ Spindoctor will be setting stage for performances from the likes of Global Heat and ZAHARA.
