Matisyahu, House of Pain, More Tapped for First Annual Evergreen Fest

Hempfest, Mad Dabler and LPM are proud to present the first annual Evergreen Fest, which is set to take over the White River Amphitheatre for a full day of varied and quality artists, both locally-grown and nationally-touring. Over the course of the day, you can expect to hear everything from reggae fusion to hip-hop, alternative rock to R&B, and everything in between. The festival is set to take place on September 17th, just a couple weeks after Bumbershoot 2016.

On the lineup, you’ll find such legendary names as reggae legend Matisyahu, classic hip-hop duo House of Pain (featuring Everlast), famed stoner rapper Devin the Dude, prolific West Coast rapper Afroman, as well as some local names in the genre-hopping Tacoma-based reggae act Stay Grounded, and Surrey, B.C. alternative rapper and Swollen Members member Madchild. On top of those promising names, there are more acts to be announced within the next month.

At the Evergreen Fest, you can expect well over 100 vendors, and the music will be spread out over three stages. On top of that, Evergreen Festival will be doing something no other festival around here has done: they will be hosting a pageant and crowning a Miss Evergreen Fest.
