The album, which was recorded years ago, has never before been released and was produced by Eliane Elias and the late Mitch Leigh, the composer of all the music in the musical and film that featured Oscar winners Sophia Loren and Peter O’ Toole. When Leigh commissioned the recording he specifically looked for Eliane to interpret and arrange his songs to create an instrumental LATIN Jazz record.

Eliane’s 2017 release Dance of Time won a Latin Grammy for Best Latin Jazz Album of the year after debuting at #1 on two Billboard’s Charts: Traditional Jazz Charts and World Music Albums Charts, and also at #1 on iTunes USA, Germany, France and Brazil and #1 Amazon.com Best Seller. Her previous album, Made In Brazil, won a Grammy Award® for Best Latin Jazz Album of the Year. She has 9 Grammy Award® nominations to date, is a four time “Gold Disc Award” recipient and three time winner of “Best Vocal Album” in Japan to name a few accolades. Elias is known for her distinctive and immediately recognizable musical style which blends her Brazilian roots, her sensuous, alluring voice with her virtuosic instrumental jazz, classical and compositional skills. With 27 albums to date demonstrating her unique gifts as a pianist, singer, composer, arranger, and producer as well as melding her immense talents in jazz, pop, classical and Brazilian music, Eliane Elias is as Jazziz magazine has called her, “A citizen of the world” and “an artist beyond category.”
