Big Ass Boombox: 2 Days, 21 Bands, All Ages, Did We Mention It’s Free?

Do you like live music? Do you like to support local music? Do you like free shows? Are you not completely and totally terrified of leaving your house? If you answered yes to all of these questions, then we’ve got the perfect event for your weekend. It’s called the Big Ass Boombox, and it’ll be coming to a city near you (if you happen to live near Seattle) this Friday and Saturday, respectively January 8th and 9th.

So what is it that makes this so appealing? Well, we already mentioned that it’s a free show, but what if we told you that the lineup consisted of over 20 of the best bands working in the Seattle scene now? Whether it’s stellar 50 Bands in 50 Days entrants Mutiny Mutiny and Golden Idols, rising Seattle rock stars Ever So Android,  our READER’S Poll winner Furniture Girls, Tacoma punks Trees and Timber, or the twinky indie-emo Deer Park, this lineup has a little something for everyone.

The two-day show is all ages, so luckily if you aren’t old enough to legally drink away your sorrows, you can attend this event and not have to settle for peering in from a window with tears in your eyes. We recommend getting there early, so you can beat the crowd that’s sure to show up. You can find out more information here, and observe the full lineup with set times below.
