The last song was a sweet “Unwritten,” that reminded us to keep being original and to keep writing our very unique individual story the way we were meant to.

He slowly got up from his piano as he left and continued to sing a cappella as we all listened attentively without question. His voice fluctuated in volume as it slowly faded the further back he stepped. Everyone cheered in amazement and he came back to sing a couple more closing out with “The Strong Hand.” This was a wonderful performance and I now understand why so many people think highly of Vance. This man is not to be missed when he’s in town.

The night ended with “Why Did You Run?” and “Take It All Back.” We were really impressed by the show as it was a well-produced, well arranged set leaving us wanting more.

After the mid-point of the show the three members sat in the front on stools and played a more intimate set for a few songs before being joined by the rest of the touring members. During “Love Someone,” fans were singing along turning their attention to their significant others and holding them closer. Their main set ended with “Funeral” and they returned to close the night with their most successful track, “7 Years.”

It’s amazing to watch shows like this one and realize once more how powerful music really is. This one human has created a portal for others to be sucked in and for the duration of the night something very powerful is shared.

The main set ended with an intense, “Capsized,” as people’s hearts filled with passion and satisfaction from their experience of the night. The band returned and played a couple of covers and finished with favorite, “Pulaski At Night,” as we were serenaded by the magical sound of Bird’s violin one last time.

I’ll leave you with the words that set mood that were played at the beginning of the night before he even came out.  “Someone’s got to sing the blood, and someone’s got to sing the pain,” and perhaps that someone is Cave, perhaps it’s you.

They are always such a good show to be a part of and it’s good to still feel the same emotions as the first time, in a way unchanged by the years.

That’s life, though sometimes it takes you down roads you never thought you’d come by and that’s what is so beautiful about it. Keep your eye out for the next time Wrabel is in town, he’s pure delight.

After the song they brought out a cake and Raggi mentioned that it was a special day as their pianist was celebrating his birthday. The whole venue sang the birthday song and I’m sure that felt quite special for him. Their main set ended with breakthrough hit “Little Talks,” and “Six Weeks.”

After that she returned to close out with her huge hit “Beggin For Thread,” as the crowd danced along one last time. Banks is really on a next level and her live shows should not be missed.

It felt really good to be a part of this live and this band is going to be climbing for many years if they keep making people feel the way they did tonight.

The setlist covered what most wanted to hear with a good balance of the previous two records and a good mix of her latest. The main set ended with “High Enough” as people swayed closer to the ones they were holding onto.

We remembered how good he was but he has raised the bar for his live shows in the last few years and it really made a huge difference tonight.
