Music fans of the Pacific Northwest, get ready for our fifth annual year-end daily local music showcase, 100 Bands in 100 Days, where every day until December 31st, we’re showcasing a new band or artist you have to know about, once again presented by Verity Credit Union.

Make sure you are checking the #100Bands100Days hashtag on Twitter on a daily basis to stay on top of all the bands featured and be sure to follow Verity and NW_Music_Scene there. Some days the featured act could be an established and locally-adored northwest-based musician and other times they could be a band with a small following that just hasn’t had their deserved time in the spotlight yet. Either way, we’re fairly confident you can come away from this daily segment with plenty of new favorites. Today’s featured artist is All The Real Girls.

Bio:

Replete with the sort of Americana instrumentation the lyrics deserve, and the indie guitar work we crave – great stories; rock guitar shredding; pastoral twang; and top quality performances. This is the sort of album you discover and play obsessively. All The Real Girls will be recording a new album in February with producer Eric Corson (The Long Winters).

On the All The Real Girls Facebook page the genre is listed as Shoegazy Country Songs, which could be one way to describe the band but it’s a bit more complicated than that. On their release, Elk City, they open up the proverbial music trunk and when they do, just about anything is liable to come flying out. From bright and shiny guitar-riff driven Indie rock all the way to country-flavored jams and everything in between. One thing that’s for sure though, the songwriting is exceptional and the musicianship top notch. As mentioned in their bio above, they’ll be recording a new album next year but in the meantime, spend some time with Elk City HERE and we’re sure you’ll become a fan of this band’s sound, no matter how you choose to label it.
