Music fans of the Pacific Northwest, get ready for our fifth annual year-end daily local music showcase, 100 Bands in 100 Days, where every day until December 31st, we’re showcasing a new band or artist you have to know about, once again presented by Verity Credit Union.

Make sure you are checking the #100Bands100Days hashtag on Twitter on a daily basis to stay on top of all the bands featured and be sure to follow Verity and NW_Music_Scene there. Some days the featured act could be an established and locally-adored northwest-based musician and other times they could be a band with a small following that just hasn’t had their deserved time in the spotlight yet. Either way, we’re fairly confident you can come away from this daily segment with plenty of new favorites. Today’s featured artist is Kyberox.

Bio:

Kyberox is a Tacoma band that draws on stoner/doom/desert rock influences, with elements of punk and post-metal to create powerful, rhythm driven riff rides.

If you are in search of delicate melodies driven by bright and shiny reverb soaked indie rock guitar riffs, today’s featured band probably isn’t going to deliver for you. However, if you are like us, and always have an aching need for more sludgy stoner goodness in your life, then we’re fairly certain this band will have just what you are looking for. Built around the soaring, ethereal vocals of Ash de Choudens, the other three members of the band drop massive amount of doomy metal grooves, creating deep chasms that allow de Choudens to display her potent voice. Check out 2017’s Go Slow EP HERE to get a feel for just what this outfit brings to the table. Keep an eye on their Facebook page as well because it sounds like they are working on some new music.
